POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Analytics Analyst supports the Analytics team by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights to PWX Solutions management, marketing leads, and clients. This role is responsible for producing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data feeds that enable informed business and campaign decisions across offline and online marketing programs.
The Marketing Analytics Analyst combines analytical rigor with a strong understanding of marketing performance. This individual works with large, complex data sets and translates them into clear, insightful reporting that supports both internal stakeholders and clients. The role includes monitoring performance trends, identifying variances against expectations, and proactively surfacing insights and improvement opportunities.
This role is ideal for an early-career analyst looking to deepen skills in marketing analytics, reporting automation, and client-facing insights while working in a collaborative, data-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting and Dashboards
- Maintain and enhance recurring business, marketing, and client-facing reports and dashboards.
- Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and delivered on time according to established schedules and ad hoc needs.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
Campaign and Financial Analysis
- Execute standardized marketing campaign financial proformas to evaluate and estimate campaign impact and return on investment.
- Support both near-term performance measurement and Lifetime Value analysis, aligned with each client’s strategy and objectives.
- Monitor campaign and business performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support outbound marketing campaigns by developing and validating SQL-based audience and prospect selection routines in partnership with marketing stakeholders.
- Ensure audience selections align with defined business rules, campaign objectives, and data quality standards.
Data Quality and Platform Support
- Assume responsibility for routine data validation, quality assurance, and maintenance of reporting datasets and platforms.
- Identify data issues, investigate root causes, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them.
- Use Python to support data analysis, reporting automation, and analytical workflows.
- Work within a cloud-based analytics environment to support scalable, automated reporting solutions.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- BA or BS required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a data-intensive or analytical environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including macro development and debugging.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing marketing and campaign performance data.
- Experience writing SQL to support marketing audience selection, segmentation, or targeting workflows is a plus.
- Python experience used for data analysis, reporting automation, and workflow support.
- Understanding of cloud-based data environments, including experience working with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and Athena, is a plus.
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the publishing or media industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics, reporting, or automation tools is a plus.
