POSITION DESCRIPTION:
PubWorX is seeking an associate marketing director to lead the development and growth of digital marketing strategy and performance for leading brands such as The New Yorker, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, and Popular Science. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and work with a talented team of marketers driving digital growth and revenue for clients that include some of the largest magazine publishers and also unique niche brands. The position will report directly to the Digital Solutions Executive.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to the following:
- Own the relationship with specific clients and fuel their success within existing digital efforts as well as by identifying new opportunities to generate incremental revenue.
- Lead a team of individuals focused on driving performance and growth for clients and the business.
- Develop digital strategy and campaigns through brand sites, email growth, paid media (SEM & social media, Amazon and partner channels.
- Establish, communicate, and manage project strategy, deliverables and priorities to cross-functional stakeholders (internal, external and global) from beginning to end
- Plan and communicate initiatives as well as results, aimed at reaching client goals, to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Spearhead new marketing practices and technology, educating the team.
- Closely manage marketing budget and performance projections across multiple brands.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external partners.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate will have at least 2 years of digital marketing experience. In addition, he/she should possess the following skills:
- BA/BS from an accredited college or university
- Account management or client services experience
- Proven success record of driving acquisition through channels including but not limited to email, SEM and paid social
- Audience development experience is preferred but not required
- Experience managing a team
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive and solution-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects, pivoting quickly in a cutting-edge, fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player able to work fluidly with cross-functional groups
- Proficient in both Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with graphic design and basic HTML, preferred but not required
